This session marks my 9th session overall with this beautiful family. I’ve photographed all milestones for them over the last 6ish years, from Alli and Alex’s engagement session to now as a family of four! It’s so sweet to watch their family grow from behind my lens, and these fall apple orchard family photos were a hit!

This time we wanted to try out something different for their session, so we chose apple picking at Lehman’s Orchard in Niles, Michigan for a fun fall day activity!

While we got some posed shots, I tried to keep things fun and as natural as possible! Especially when working with a toddler and a baby. Doing some sort of activity during your family session can keep the little ones occupied longer, and you also get to make memories with your family while having it photographed – it’s a win win!

After the session, we ventured into the orchard’s little shop and bought some apples, homemade salsa, and homemade wine as well!
