These South Bend, Indiana maternity photos were a reminder of why I love documenting seasons like this, especially when they involve people I’ve known for years! Kendra and I went to high school together, and she has since moved out of state to Colorado, and now Pennsylvania.
While she and Henry were in town for Thanksgiving, it was the perfect time in her pregnancy to schedule maternity photos! We had originally planned an outdoor session, but due to some crazy weather conditions, we moved to an indoor studio at Area Hall Art House in South Bend at the last minute. It was so worth it, and the photos speak for themselves!

For the first part of their South Bend, Indiana maternity session, Henry and Kendra had dressier outfits, which felt like the perfect fit for this space. Kendra wore a knit, form-fitting dress that beautifully showed off her bump, while Henry paired slacks with a classic button-down.
We rented Area 2 at Area Hall Art House, and it couldn’t have been a better choice for clean, timeless, and simple maternity photos. The bright natural light and open layout gave us room to move around and keep things relaxed. I especially loved that they brought their pup, Harvey, along for the session!
Kendra, Henry, & Harvey — A Relaxed Second Look
For the second part of the session, Kendra and Henry changed into more casual outfits that felt relaxed. Henry switched into a t-shirt, and Kendra paired jeans with a striped button-down, which added just the right amount of color without being distracting. Knowing they’re expecting a baby girl, I loved the subtle pink that she incorporated into her look!
