Seth and Abby’s Willow Acres wedding in Middletown, Indiana, was a day that felt exactly like them. It was the ideal fall wedding—colorful, intimate, and completely them! They planned the entire day themselves, perfectly showcasing their laid-back and down to earth personalities.
I first had the pleasure of meeting Seth and Abby in March 2024 for their engagement session, and we instantly clicked. Our personalities meshed so well, and we had the best time getting to know each other! When they reached back out a few months later to book me for their October wedding, I was beyond excited!
The Details & Getting Ready
Seth and Abby got ready in different spaces at Willow Acres wedding venue. The bridesmaids helped do each other’s hair and makeup, which made for a fun morning. Abby wore the most beautiful off-the-shoulder gown and it felt so romantic and timeless. I especially loved her loose waves!
Outdoor Willow Acres Wedding Ceremony Under The Pergola
Abby and Seth’s outdoor Willow Acres wedding ceremony was surrounded by lush landscaping and vibrant fall colors. The burnt orange drapery and beautiful fall florals decorated the altar, which blended seamlessly with the natural surroundings. Abby walked down the aisle arm-in-arm with her father and stepfather, and Seth’s twin brother, Trevor, officiated the ceremony. Abby and Seth wrote their own vows, and they were some of the best I’ve heard—so heartfelt, honest, and like something straight out of a romance novel!
Outdoor Willow Acres Wedding Party and Bride & Groom Portraits
After the ceremony, we moved to the prettiest willow tree for wedding party and bride and groom portraits. The orange hues provided a stunning contrast against the green of the willow tree—truly the perfect fall setting! I also loved how Seth stood out from his groomsmen, wearing a chocolate brown suit with a paisley-print tie to match, while his groomsmen kept it classic in black suits. The bridesmaids wore an array of autumn hues—from deep reds to burnt oranges and soft peach. Each gown was unique in design, adding a personal touch while keeping the color scheme cohesive.
After wedding party portraits, we captured some moments with just Seth and Abby. Willow Acres wedding venue features a “wedding wall” dedicated to all the couples who get married there! A tunneled walkway (where we took the last bit of their portraits) leads to a wall, which is surrounded by greenery and fairy lights. A custom plaque engraved with their names and wedding date gets gets hung on the wedding wall, crafted with hardwood sourced directly from the venue’s property!
Tented Willow Acres Wedding Reception in Middletown, IN
Abby and Seth’s tented wedding reception at Willow Acres was the perfect blend of cozy and charming. The tables were decorated with burnt orange runners, amber vases filled with dried florals, and small pumpkins, all nodding to the vibrant fall colors! They had beautiful twinkling string lights overhead and a nearby fire pit which created a warm atmosphere for Abby and Seth to mingle with their guests. Everything perfectly tied together their fall wedding theme! Their reception was full of good food, good music, and most importantly, good company! It was truly a beautiful day all-around to celebrate the new Mr. and Mrs. Grimmett!
