Fall Backyard Wedding in Culver, Indiana

Taylor and Kyle’s fall backyard wedding in Culver, Indiana was so them! They put in so many personal details to their day to be exactly what they wanted. Taylor and Kyle are actually some of my best friends, so being the one to photograph their day made it that much sweeter for me. I’ve had the honor of capturing their proposal, ‘Woodsy Engagement Photos in Indiana‘, and now their beautiful Indiana wedding! The Details, Getting Ready, First Look & Private Vows

Taylor and Kyle began their day getting ready at separate locations with their bridesmaids and groomsmen. Taylor looked stunning in a slim-fitting lace wedding gown, complemented by a pearl veil, matching pearl necklace, and her white cowboy boots.

Afterward, they shared a first look and exchanged private vows at their home in the pines—the same spot where we captured some of their engagement photos. It was the perfect backdrop for such an intimate moment, made even more special by the fact that it took place on their property!

Taylor + Kyle’s Outdoor Wedding Party Photos and Portraits

After their first look and private vows, we made our way to Kyle’s dad’s property in Culver, where both the wedding and reception took place. Opting for a first look allowed us to get all of their portraits done before the ceremony!

The jewel-toned bridesmaids’ dresses looked stunning against the woodsy backdrop, perfectly complementing the cozy vibe of a fall backyard wedding. And, of course, if you know Kyle and Taylor, you know their day wouldn’t be complete without their dogs! Bo and Roxy joined in for some portraits with their parents.

Fall Backyard Wedding Ceremony in Culver, Indiana

For the ceremony, old church pews were arranged perfectly under a giant tree in the middle of the field, with a special chair set to honor Kyle’s late mother. The wedding was filled with sentimental details, including the ring bearer pillow, which had been passed down from Kyle’s parents’ wedding as well as his aunt and uncle’s wedding.

Taylor made her grand entrance in a vintage car, escorted by her dad. It was the perfect touch to their already stunning backyard wedding!

The Bennetts’ Fall Backyard Wedding Reception in Culver, Indiana

Taylor and Kyle’s tented backyard wedding reception was set up about 100 yards away, complete with string lights, cocktail tables, a bonfire, a crossword puzzle, a champagne and beer wall, and last but not least, a beer donkey! While the wedding party all had their own unforgettable reception entrances, Taylor and Kyle truly stole the show by surprising everyone and riding in on their dirt bikes!

Guests danced the night away and mingled under the string lights. To end the night, Taylor surprised Kyle with another special way to honor his mom by releasing lanterns into the sky. Everything about Taylor and Kyle’s wedding was so them! We’ll always remember this 21st night of September! 😉
