Haylee & Skyler’s wedding day at 5C Farms in Albion, Indiana was colorful, rustic, and full of country charm. A true Midwest wedding! The two tied the knot on a warm summer day in early June, surrounded by the rolling fields of the 5C Farms Event Barn.
This day was extra special for me because I’ve known Haylee for a while (she’s also a photographer), and I first met her when I took her branding photos a few years back. Not long after, I had the honor of capturing her and Skyler’s engagement session (you can peek at their Woodsy Midwest Engagement Photos in Albion, Indiana). Fast forward to the summer of 2025 and here we were, celebrating their Indiana barn wedding at one of my favorite venues.
From the colorful details to the rustic setting, every part of their day felt like a reflection of who they are—down-to-earth, full of joy, and surrounded by the people they love most!
We kicked off the day at 5C Farms with some of the sweetest details, including tiny statues of Haylee and Skyler’s pets, Barbeau and Oakley (seriously the cutest touch). Haylee got ready with her mom and sister by her side. She had the most beautiful dress with floral and pearl accents that paired perfectly with her white boots. They were such a fun nod to the country setting. Meanwhile, Skyler kept it classic to who he is, rocking a sport coat, denim jeans, and his Twisted X Moc shoes.
Before the ceremony, these two shared a private first look where they read vows to each other. Let’s just say a few tears were definitely shed. It was such a raw and emotional moment. One of those reminders of why I love photographing weddings like this. Their portraits from this part of the day are some of my absolute favorites. They were colorful, down-to-earth, and filled with so much love!
Haylee and Skyler’s ceremony at 5C Farms was short, sweet, and full of personal touches. Guests sat outside with string lights hanging overhead and barrels with mason jars of wildflowers marking the aisle. Before things officially started, their “beer boys” made the rounds handing out drinks, and later two guests pulled the rings from underneath their chairs to bring them forward. It was such a fun twist to their ceremony and a unique way to include their guests. Every moment felt genuine and relaxed. It was the perfect setting for a rustic summer wedding out in the country!
Right after the ceremony, everyone headed inside the barn at 5C Farms to celebrate. The space is so open and welcoming. I loved the tall windows that let in tons of natural light, the wood beams that give it that rustic charm, and the colorful florals and details that Skyler and Haylee chose. It all tied everything together perfectly!
One of the sweetest moments of the day came during the first dances. Haylee and Skyler surprised her parents by giving them their own first dance. Since her parents had eloped years ago and never had that moment, it felt extra meaningful, and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room.
As the evening went on, we stepped outside for some sunset photos before coming back in to a packed dance floor. This reception was a rowdy one, but that’s what made it so fun!
If you’re dreaming of a rustic wedding surrounded by wide-open fields and country charm, 5C Farms is one of the best places to host your Indiana barn wedding. The mix of open outdoor spaces, that weathered wood shelter, and the spacious barn itself makes it the perfect spot for a Midwest wedding. Whether you want a laid-back summer day like Haylee and Skyler’s or something a little more formal, 5C Farms is a venue that truly fits both.

Sweet Words From Haylee:
“Where do I even begin!! I came across Riley’s work a few years ago when searching for a photographer for branding photos. Even when I booked with her then, I knew I wanted her to capture our wedding day! From our engagement photos to our wedding day, and even my branding photos, Riley showed up and made it all feel effortless and fun. To us she felt more like a friend than a vendor, and she captures every moment so genuinely and beautifully. We will forever be grateful that we booked with her and for the special memories she’s preserved for us. Ones we’ll cherish for a lifetime! Can’t wait to book with her again!!!🤍”
